Sharing the Flavors of Kerala Since 2006

Mayura Indian Kitchen began with a love for the traditional recipes, vibrant spices, and comforting meals of Kerala and South India. Since opening in Culver City in 2006, our family-owned restaurant has grown into a welcoming place where longtime guests and first-time visitors can enjoy authentic Indian food prepared with care.

The name Mayura means “peacock” in Sanskrit, a symbol of grace, beauty, and tradition. Those qualities continue to inspire the experience we create, from the colors and flavors on each plate to the warmth with which every guest is welcomed.

Rooted in Tradition

Our menu reflects the variety and depth of Kerala and South Indian cooking. Crisp dosas, fluffy uthappam, aromatic biryanis, coconut-rich curries, seafood specialties, tandoori dishes, and comforting vegetarian recipes are all prepared using time-honored methods and thoughtfully selected ingredients.

Our specially trained chefs prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in separate kitchens. We also offer vegan and gluten-free options upon request, helping more guests enjoy a meal that works for their needs without sacrificing flavor.

A Place to Gather in Culver City

For nearly two decades, Mayura has been proud to serve the Culver City community. We believe a restaurant should feel like more than a place to eat. It should be somewhere families gather, friends reconnect, and new traditions begin around the table.

Whether you visit us for a relaxed lunch, a family dinner, takeout, or your first experience with South Indian cuisine, our goal is simple: to serve genuine food with genuine hospitality. We are grateful for every guest who has supported us since 2006, and we look forward to welcoming many more.
